The Best Slippers for Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis slippers are an interesting topic to me. For years I struggled around home with flat feet and flat slippers, I never once thought about finding the right pair for me. I would spend hours searching for the best running shoes, or the best shoes for plantar fasciitis yet still, I completely neglected the situation at home. Researching for the previously linked pages I came across the concept of arch supportive flip flops and arch supportive slippers. I now own a pair of the above and couldn’t be happier.

Pain management is a way to rid yourself of the pain. This could be an oral medication or it might involve some organic salve to remedy the pain. But aside from this treatment, you may also want to take this pain management seriously and choose better footwear and socks as a preventative measure.

At Work Then At Home

Working shoes and training shoes can probably give you enough padding and cushion to manage your heel pain. These types of shoes usually have a curved instep that matches the arch of the foot. That’s why they are more comfortable than flat slippers.

At home, we don’t wear these types of shoes. We go barefoot or wear generic slippers. Unfortunately, most slippers are flat and offer no arch support at all. This might be something you don’t pay attention to. We usually just wait for it to go away.

But have you ever wondered if there is a solution for this?

Walking barefoot or in your flats can be comfortable. There is no debate on that. After a long day, you just want to take off your shoes or slip on your flats. It brings a lot of relief, right? But as soon as you go around the house, the pain might be back again.

Yes, this might sound peculiar but, there are slippers that match the arch of your feet! This makes an absolute difference versus wearing flats and walking barefoot. Normally, we bear our weight on the heels and balls of our feet.

For the unfortunate few who are suffering plantar fasciitis, bearing weight on the heels and the balls of the feet means that the arch is being pulled on either side. Every landing results in pain. Simple arch support helps distribute your weight on the flat surface of the foot and alleviate the pulling force on the plantar fascia.

Casual Slippers with Arch Support

Definitely, you wouldn’t wear your comfy slippers outside of the home. You might be tempted to wear your flats with your small errands outside. But hey, you can also opt to choose casual walking slippers with arch support. I personally enjoy the look of these “Wearabout Mule” slippers which claim to have great arch support and many owners on amazon mention them as their “plantar fasciitis slippers

I know you have done this a thousand times with whichever slippers you have and managed to go through with the discomfort. Having a casual slipper with arch support can make a big difference in your walks.
